WWII Documents to a Jewish Husband and Wife that Escaped the Holocaust. Interesting grouping to a Jewish Austrian husband and wife. I have not researched the individuals. From the documents you can see that Ernst Arnim was veteran of the Austro Hungarian Army serving as an engineer. Two of the ID’s show him in uniform wearing a medal. The foldout is a military education record. Both Ernst and Alice were fortunate to get out of Austria shortly after the Nazi Annexation in 1938. The matching photo ID’s of both of them appear to be temporary visas to England before leaving to the United States. This would no doubt be a terrific research project. The documents were obtained from an auction in Maryland.
