Original Otto Skorzeny Knight’s Cross Postcard by Hoffman

Original Otto Skorzeny Knight’s Cross Postcard by Hoffman. Stamped and post marked July 30, 1944 in Vienna – Skorzeny’s hometown. Skorzeny was well known as “Hitler’s Commando” for rescuing Benito Mussolini from Gran Sasso, Kidnapping Miki Horthy to keep Hungary in the war, and for running diversional operations during the Battle of the Bulge. It is claimed that he was never extradited or charged with any war crimes because he gave the Western Powers his contacts and spy ring information in Eastern Europe after the war. A fairly rare SS postcard.
